💙 Keeping It Real – One Day at a Time 💙 Hi everyone, Today has been a rough day when it comes to blood sugar readings. I thought I had extra supplies with me, but guess what? I didn't. Things happen, and I am not going to put myself down over it. There was a time when I probably would have been frustrated with myself all day, but I am learning to give myself grace. After dealing with high blood sugars most of the day, I finally got home and discovered the problem. My insulin pump site had come off, which meant I was not getting the insulin I needed. As soon as I changed it, my blood sugars started coming back down. Praise God! 🙌 I am feeling so much better now. The Bible has a lot to say about wisdom, and when you live with Type 1 Diabetes, hypothyroidism, or any other health condition, wisdom becomes a very important part of everyday life. Every day I have to make decisions about what I eat, when I eat, how much insulin I need, how much activity I can do, when I need to rest, and when I need to push through.  💙 Keeping It Real – God Is Moving! 💙 The last two days have been great when it comes to my blood sugars, and I am so thankful for that. Praise God! 🙏 Of course, life with Type 1 Diabetes always seems to keep us on our toes. Last night it was time to change my Dexcom G7 sensor because my 10 days were up. I got everything ready, cleaned my arm, applied the new sensor, and waited for it to start. Well... it failed. 😞 The sensor gave me a "failed sensor" message, which is never fun to see. Thankfully, I was able to get online with Dexcom, and they are sending me a replacement. Until it arrives, I am back to doing finger sticks to check my blood sugar. Now, after living with Type 1 Diabetes for many years, I can honestly say this is not the first time I've had to go back to finger sticks, and it probably won't be the last.
