Keeping It Real – One Day at a Time
π Keeping It Real – One Day at a Time π
Hi everyone,
Today has been a rough day when it comes to blood sugar readings. I thought I had extra supplies with me, but guess what? I didn't. Things happen, and I am not going to put myself down over it. There was a time when I probably would have been frustrated with myself all day, but I am learning to give myself grace.
After dealing with high blood sugars most of the day, I finally got home and discovered the problem. My insulin pump site had come off, which meant I was not getting the insulin I needed. As soon as I changed it, my blood sugars started coming back down.
Praise God! π
I am feeling so much better now.
Even after working until 11:30 last night at my new weekend job, God has given me the strength to keep going. I may be tired, but I am thankful. Sometimes living with Type 1 Diabetes means being a detective and figuring out why numbers are doing what they're doing. Some days are easier than others, but every day is a reminder that God is faithful.
I am also reminded that just because something goes wrong does not mean the whole day is ruined. We all make mistakes. We all forget things. We all have challenges. The important thing is that we keep moving forward and do not stay stuck in frustration.
The Bible tells us:
π "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." — 2 Corinthians 12:9
I have seen God's grace at work today. What started out as a frustrating situation ended with a solution, better blood sugars, and another reminder that God is watching over me.
As I continue this journey, I am believing for open doors that no man can shut. I believe God is moving behind the scenes. Between my new weekend job, my online businesses, and other opportunities He is bringing my way, I can see His hand at work.
π "What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open." — Revelation 3:7
So today I choose faith over frustration.
I choose gratitude over complaining.
I choose to trust God even when things do not go as planned.
If you are having a difficult day, don't give up. Take a deep breath, say a prayer, and keep moving forward. God is not finished with your story yet.
Have a blessed evening, and remember: God can open doors that no person can close. Keep believing, keep trusting, and keep the faith. ππ
