The Reality of Insulin & Diabetes Supplies π
One thing many people don’t realize about living with Type 1 Diabetes is this—
Insulin and diabetic supplies are not optional.
They are life-saving necessities.
Without insulin, a person with Type 1 Diabetes cannot survive.
And it’s not just insulin.
There are glucose meters, test strips, insulin pumps, CGMs like Dexcoms, sensors, needles, emergency low blood sugar snacks, doctor visits, lab work, and so many other supplies that are needed daily.
Living with Type 1 Diabetes means constantly planning ahead.
Before leaving the house, you have to make sure you have everything you need because emergencies can happen quickly.
And honestly, this disease can become very expensive—especially for people without insurance.
Even with insurance, supplies can still cost a lot out of pocket.
There are families struggling every month trying to decide how to afford insulin and supplies while also paying bills and buying groceries.
That should never happen.
No one should have to fear not being able to afford the medicine that keeps them alive.
This is why diabetes awareness matters so much.
People living with Type 1 Diabetes are not asking for sympathy—we are asking for understanding, compassion, affordable care, and truth about this disease.
And through all of this, I thank God for helping me through every season. π
There have been times I didn’t know how things would work out, but somehow God always made a way.
He has helped me through health battles, grief, stress, and moments of fear.
And He continues to remind me to trust Him one day at a time.
I truly believe God gives strength for the battles we never expected to fight.
So if you are struggling today—whether financially, physically, mentally, or emotionally—keep holding on.
God sees your needs.
God sees your fight.
And He has not forgotten you.
π “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19
Let’s continue spreading awareness, truth, compassion, and hope. ππ
