New old journey
Hello everyone! I am sorry it's been a while since I have been on here. I am trying really hard to get back to blogging and keeping you all updated on what has been going on in my life, so here is one of my latest updates. As many of you know, I have been on an insulin pump for several years. I have also used a Dexcom to help keep track of my blood sugars. But for the past month, I decided to make a change and go back to taking insulin shots and checking my blood sugar with finger sticks—no pump at all. I had several reasons for making this decision, but one of the biggest reasons was the cost of all the supplies needed for the insulin pump and Dexcom. Living with Type 1 Diabetes is expensive, and sometimes we have to sit down and really look at what is best for us and what we can afford.
