Type 1 Diabetes Awareness πŸ’™

There is something very important I want to help bring awareness to today about Type 1 Diabetes.

Type 1 Diabetes can happen at ANY age.

It is often diagnosed in children and young adults, but adults can develop it too.

And one of the biggest misunderstandings about Type 1 Diabetes is this:

❌ It is NOT caused by eating too much sugar.

❌ It is NOT caused by lack of exercise.

❌ And it can NOT be caught from another person.

Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disease.

This means the body mistakenly attacks the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas.

People living with Type 1 Diabetes have to take insulin every single day to stay alive.

It is a constant balancing act of checking blood sugars, counting carbs, taking insulin, staying hydrated, exercising, and paying attention to how your body feels.

And even when you do everything “right,” blood sugars can still go high or low unexpectedly.

It’s a daily battle many people do not see.

I’ve lived with Type 1 Diabetes for many years, and one thing I’ve learned is this—

We need more understanding, more compassion, and more awareness.

Not judgment.

Not blame.

Not misinformation.

And through it all, my faith in Jesus has helped carry me through the hardest days. πŸ™

There have been moments where I felt exhausted, overwhelmed, and discouraged…

But God has continued to give me strength one day at a time.

I truly believe the Lord walks with us through every battle we face—physical, emotional, and spiritual.

So if you are living with Type 1 Diabetes or any invisible illness, know this:

You are stronger than you realize.

You are not alone.

And your life has purpose.

πŸ’™ “Fearfully and wonderfully made.” — Psalm 139:14

Let’s continue spreading truth, awareness, kindness, and hope. πŸ™πŸ’•
