Out with the old in with the new

 πŸŒΈ Good Morning Everyone 🌸

Today and tomorrow are teacher workdays for us, which means it’s time to tear down the classroom, clean things out, get rid of what is no longer needed, and prepare everything for summer camp that starts Monday.

As I was thinking about all of this, I started looking at it in a Biblical way. πŸ™

In life, God often calls us to clean out the old to make room for the new things He wants to do in our lives.

And honestly, sometimes that can be hard.

I know for me there are things I have collected all year long that are difficult to throw away because they hold memories, emotions, or comfort. But eventually there comes a time when we have to step back and ask ourselves:

Is this helping me move forward, or is it keeping me stuck?

Sometimes God asks us to let go of:

Old hurts

Old habits

Old mindsets

Old fears

Old relationships

And even old seasons of life

Not because He is being cruel, but because He knows we cannot fully step into the new while still holding tightly to the old.

Just like we clean out classrooms, closets, and homes, we also need to allow God to clean out our hearts and minds too. πŸ’™

A new season requires fresh space.

And I truly believe God brings different seasons into our lives for growth, healing, learning, and preparation.

Some seasons are hard.

Some seasons stretch us.

Some seasons break us down so God can rebuild us stronger.

But through every season, God remains faithful.

This past year has taught me so much about grief, healing, faith, health struggles, and learning to trust God even when life does not make sense.

And now I feel like God is slowly opening new doors, refreshing my spirit, and preparing me for new beginnings.

That does not mean forgetting the past.

It means trusting God with the future. πŸ™

The Bible tells us in Isaiah 43:18-19:

πŸ’™ “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!”

And Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us there is:

“A time for every purpose under heaven.”

There are seasons for planting and seasons for uprooting. Seasons for grieving and seasons for rebuilding.

So today as I clean out a classroom, I am also praying:

“Lord, clean out anything in my life that no longer belongs there and make room for the new things You have planned for me.”

Sometimes growth starts with letting go.

And sometimes the hardest cleanups lead to the biggest blessings. πŸ’•

Praying you all have a blessed, peaceful, and faith-filled day today. πŸ™
