Well, let’s talk about losing weight, getting back into shape, and trying to eat healthier along the way.

 ๐ŸŒธ Happy Friday Everyone ๐ŸŒธ

Well, let’s talk about losing weight, getting back into shape, and trying to eat healthier along the way.

I know firsthand this journey is not easy.

I have struggled with my weight for a long time, and during grief and depression, let’s just say taking care of myself physically became very hard. When you are emotionally exhausted and mentally drained, healthy eating and exercise can quickly get pushed to the side.

Some days you are just trying to survive the day.

But lately God has really been working on my heart about taking care of myself again—not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually too. ๐Ÿ™

I have also been blessed to have some wonderful women God placed in my life who have been encouraging me, praying for me, and helping remind me that this journey does not have to be walked alone.

And honestly, encouragement matters.

Sometimes just having someone say:

“You can do this.”

“I’m proud of you.”

“Keep going.”

can make all the difference.

So for myself and for my family, I have decided to take this one day at a time.

Not trying to be perfect.

Not trying to rush the process.

Just making better choices little by little.

Learning healthier habits.

Moving my body more.

Drinking more water.

Taking care of my health.

And asking the Lord to help me stay focused and encouraged through it all.

Because real change does not happen overnight.

And with Type 1 Diabetes, hypothyroidism, grief, depression, and other health struggles, sometimes progress may look slower than it does for others—and that’s okay.

This journey is not about trying to look like someone else.

It’s about becoming healthier, stronger, and feeling better in the body God gave me.

And one thing I am learning is this:

We have to stop being so hard on ourselves.

Healing takes time.

Weight loss takes time.

Mental healing takes time.

And rebuilding yourself after grief takes time too.

But with God, all things are possible. ๐Ÿ’™

So if you are struggling with your weight, your health, depression, grief, or just trying to get yourself back together after a hard season, please know you are not alone.

Take it one step at a time.

One healthy choice at a time.

One prayer at a time.

And let God help guide you through the process.

๐Ÿ’™ “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13

Have a blessed and beautiful Friday everyone ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’•
